Bridge 67 Cookery School
Bridge 67 Cookery School founder Jill Vickers started teaching private cookery lessons on a one to one basis from her farmhouse kitchen.
Set in beautiful surroundings in the heart of rural Leicestershire, watching the sheep frolicking and the cows grazing from the cookery schools windows is quite a unique experience.
We offer a wide variety of Cookery Courses covering all skill levels and all areas of interest.
Our in house chefs will guide you through your chosen day with their expert knowledge and cooking skills. Our average class size is 12 students, so if you are working as a group, in pairs or individually you will receive plenty of individual guidance and attention from our chefs.
Over the past 7 years the business has expanded and to keep up with demand we now have 3 chefs teaching a range of cuisines from basic to advanced level in our purpose built cookery school. Our specially designed teaching kitchen is on the ground floor and a dining room to seat 24 people is upstairs. We also offer al fresco dining facilities, should the weather permit.
We have a fantastic meeting room/board room that comfortably seats 24 people, with broadband, telephone, whiteboards, television, projection unit, tea and coffee making facilities.
At Bridge 67 we offer a full range of services from Cookery Courses, cookery demonstrations, corporate team building, meeting room facilities, development kitchen, bespoke dinner parties and social events.
Why we are called Bridge 67 Cookery School
We often get asked this question, the answer is thus: The grand union canal runs through the farm. All bridges over the canal are named and numbered. Hence we named the farm Binleys Bridge Farm and the cookery school Bridge 67 after the name and number over the bridge that is on our farm land.
The rest as they say is history……
Our aim is to provide skills that are useful in everyday cooking as well as when entertaining in your home environment. All our courses will teach you how to cook delicious dishes using the best techniques, you will learn where to shop for food, how to store food, seasonal produce available, along with some hidden tricks of the trade.
We provide cookery courses for all levels and abilities, all of our courses are both a mixture of hands on and demonstrations, although we do pride ourselves on giving our customers the maximum amount of hands on cooking as possible. With only small groups on each cookery course there is plenty of time for individual attention.
Overall our main aim at Bridge 67 is to ensure everyone has a thoroughly enjoyable, informative day that they will remember for a very long time.
