BakingWith the recession in full swing, we're all going back to baking, so why not rise to the occasion by taking part in this one day cookery course. Here you will focus on the pleasures of home baking with a mouth-watering selection of treats. You will spend the day creating a delightful array of cakes and biscuits to take home that the whole family will enjoy.
BreadThe art of bread making is at the heart of good cookery, and one of the most satisfying things you can do. Using the simplest of ingredients you will learn the fermentation process and the different methods of bread making. All of our bread is made by hand without the use of specialist machinery so it can be easily replicated at home. You will have plenty of bread and bakery products that you have made to take home with you at the end of the day. Typical Breads to be made on the day: cottage loaf, ciabatta, brioche, soda bread, wholemead bread, mulitseed, focaccia and a fruit and nut loaf. Various ingredients and flavours will be added to the different doughs on the day.
PatisserieThe finest ingredients, the most exquisite tastes, Patisserie is an indulgence to be enjoyed at any time of day. On our Patisserie course you will learn the art of short crust, sweet and choux pastry, working with biscuits, chocolate and homemade custards. A light lunch is included and you will take your own baked goods home with you.
