By booking a course you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.
(We reserve the right to make minor changes to the content of the course and prices without notice).
1. Cookery Courses
You must be over 18 years of age to attend an adult cookery course. Exceptionally we may agree to 16-18 year olds attending adult courses
2. Children’s Cookery Courses
You must be between 8 years and 18 years old and be accompanied with an adult to attend.
3. Health and Safety Liability
Sensible clothing should be worn, it is advisable to dress lightly as it does get hot in the kitchen. We will not be liable for damage to your clothing. Please wear shoes with flat, non-slip soles and closed toes. We cannot let you join a course if you have inappropriate footwear. Long hair needs to be tied back. You will be given a briefing on health and safety in the kitchen prior to the course commencing.
Our courses are hands on and involve heat and normal kitchen equipment. All participants are expected to listen carefully and obey instructions given. Inevitably there is a risk of accidents occurring. We expect you to take all reasonable care in the kitchen to avoid this happening. By your agreement to these booking conditions we shall be under no liability whatsoever, for loss, injury or damage to you or your property whether in respect of any neglect, act of omission by us or otherwise.
4. Standard of Behaviour
We expect you to behave sensibly and appropriately at all times. If for any reason we are unhappy about your behaviour you may be required to leave the premises.
5. Special Dietary Requirements/ Allergies
We cannot adjust courses for special dietary requirements unless previously agreed. We will of course, be happy to discuss the course content and adapt recipes where necessary to ensure that you can safely enjoy your day with us prior to the course. If you have any allergies please telephone us in advance to discuss your requirements.
There may be traces of nuts or other ingredients and if you have an allergy you attend at your own risk.
6. Things to let us know about in advance
If you are disabled, are diabetic, have epilepsy, are pregnant or have any other issue or illness you think you should tell us about please let us know in advance.
7. We Provide
Ingredients, utensils, knives, equipment and aprons are provided for all courses.
We just ask you to bring some food containers, in case there is anything left over to take home!
8. Cancellations and Transfers
Most bookings for courses are made months in advance. It is therefore often hard for us to resell any places within 21 days of the start of the course date, and any cancellations within this time can result in lost revenue that affect the ability of the Cookery School to deliver quality courses.
If you wish to cancel or transfer your course the following fees will apply:
Outside 21 days of the course date £15
Within 14 days of the course date £40
Within 7 days of the course date £65
In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a course, you can choose to transfer to an alternative course, or the full amount paid will be refunded.
